It has been going strong for 25 years, retaining its essence through several reformats and anchor changes, making it the longest running Filipino-language evening primetime TV news program since it premiered in March 2, 1987. Its weekend broadcasts are a relatively new component which evolved from special broadcasts to the now regular TV Patrol Weekend. After several evolutions, TV Patrol weeknight anchors have remained constant with Ted Failon, Korina Sanchez and Noli "Kabayan" De Castro. The weekend anchors for the past two years have been Alvin Elchico and Pinky Webb.
