Henares, GMA Friend Among New Witnesses Prosecution Wants Called To Corona Trial
MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE 2, 4:20 PM) Internal Revenue commissioner Kim Jacinto Henares heads the latest list of persons sought to be subpoenaed by the prosecution panel in the impeachment of Chief Justice Corona.
In an urgent motion received late Monday by the Senate sitting as the impeachment court, the House prosecution panel asked the court to summon Henares at the Tuesday session, and direct her to bring along original and certified true copies of the annual income tax returns of Corona for the years from 1992 to 2010, as well as the ITRs of his wife Cristina for the same years; and those of his children Ma. Carla Corona-Castillo, Constantino, Francis and Ma. Charina.
The House panel also asked the court to instruct Henares to present to the court Certificate Authorizing Registrations (CARs) covering the sale of all units, including parking ltos, sold at the Bellagio Tower in Taguig City; lots in MacKinley Hill, units at Spanish Bay Tower at Bonifacio Ridge, also in Taguig; all units in the The Columns at the corner of Ayala and Buendia Avenues; all units in Burgundy Plaza in Quezon City and all houses and lots in Las Vista Subdivision in Quezon City.
