Aksyon is adapting on News5's slogan "Beyond the news, information and events, Action". Erwin Tulfo and Cheryl Cosim will be responsible in delivering police-report-and-public-service. And for weekend program this will be hosted by Mike Templo, Maricel Halili and Jove Francisco. For weekdays, Shawn Yao will deliver showbiz reports. In giving weather reports for weekdays, Lourd de Veyra is assigned for its Weather or Not segment with trivia added and for weekend Joseph Ubalde takes the weather segment. To add spice for the news program Makata will roam the streets to bring information in a poetic way. And on February 6, 2012 the show is divided into two parts where the first 30 minutes is hosted by Rodolfo Jun Sabaytan that focuses on police reports around Metro Manila. For the final 30 minutes of Aksyon, this will be for the national and other news. On July 18, 2011 the program has also its regional version on TV 5 Cebu, late in the afternoon for Cebuano citizens.
